The developer’s September announcements describe Rare Mutation Tokens that spawn around the map: one player can claim each, and the next roll receives that mutation. The Floor 3 Polishing Furnace is a separate crate-polishing feature. Exact mutation multipliers and current spawn timing are not verified.
Found a Rare Mutation Token?
The archived developer announcement says each spawned token can be collected by one player and applies its mutation to the next roll. It does not document a spawn timer, a full mutation list or whether every roll interface is eligible.
- Check the collected token’s exact name and live tooltip.
- Check which next roll the current interface says will receive the effect.
- Resolve that target before starting automatic rolls or using another token.
Mutation, Trait or Grade?
These guides refer to different systems. Trait Tokens reroll a unit’s Trait at the Plaza Traits stall; Grade Tokens are used at the Ranking stand. Variant Token and Halloween Variant Token are separate reward names. Their names alone do not establish that they follow the Rare Mutation Token rule.
Does polishing give a character mutation?
The September announcement describes feeding regular crates into the Polishing Furnace on Floor 3 and receiving shiny crates to sell for more. That describes crate processing, not proof of a character mutation or a guaranteed rare character.
Check whether your earnings improved
Record income before and after on the same character with the same level, Grade, Trait and active boosts. A change under different conditions cannot isolate the mutation’s effect. If you only want to choose which unit to place, compare their actual current earnings instead.
Example only: 100 to 150 Cash per second is a 50% increase. It does not establish a 1.5× multiplier for any named mutation. Use the income calculator for your own before/after values; leave upgrade cost blank when measuring a change with no Cash cost.
Is there a complete mutation multiplier list?
Not in the verified records used here. We have not confirmed a full current list, stacking formula, spawn interval or overwrite rules. The mechanics above come from September developer announcements reviewed September 28, not a new October in-game test. Keep the current tooltip as the final check before spending.
