Polish your crates
The September 21 developer announcement says the furnace unlocks on Floor 3. Take regular crates to the Polishing Furnace, process them, then sell the shiny crates for more. The September 28 update added a notification for when the furnace can be unlocked. No exact value increase or processing time was in those posts.
Rare Mutation Tokens
Developer notes say Rare Mutation Tokens spawn randomly around the map. A token can be claimed by one player and makes the next roll have that mutation. The post does not provide spawn timing, mutation names, multipliers or whether other roll mechanics are affected.
What to measure
Compare the same crate type before and after polishing to measure your current sell-value gain. Record mutation name and the in-game value displayed after a roll before spending more resources. This is more useful than a claimed universal multiplier without a versioned source.
POLISHER code status
POLISHER was announced on September 21 and older guides list a Jackpot Token reward. Recent Pro Game Guides and October 5 Destructoid reports mark it expired, so the reward belongs to code history.
